Xanthan Gum is a food-grade ingredient that is used as a thickener and stabiliser in lotions. It is added in the water phase of the emulsion, at a minimum rate of 0.1% and up to 1%.
Use at 0.1% in water phase. It is best to first disperse it into Glycerine and then add the mix to water, while blending at high shear (with your stick blender). It is not compatible with cationic emulsifiers like BTMS.
